    ρяιη¢єѕѕ

    Rain drops
Mansi was waiting outside the closed shutters of a bank. It was pouring heavily and she was in no mood to get wet though she had a umbrella, it would be of no use if she stepped out as it was a really heavy downpour. And also there was knee deep water running on the roads sides. So she waited hoping the rain will slow down and she can leave as soon as possible. Few people were hastily running never minding the rain in a hurry to reach home, and other than that the road was deserted. Her Mobile ringed, and it was Manav. Thank God she thought and picked the call.

'Hi Manu, Thankgod you called, I'm standing outside bank of baroda in Bandra. Would you come and pick me up!'____'Oh! you are also struck eh! where?'____'hmm.. what shall i do yaar?'____'ok do find a way to come and get me'____'love ya, bye'

She spotted an auto-rickshaw just after closing the cellular. By the time rain has slowed a bit and so she took the rickshaw and directed the route to the driver. After getting in she tried messaging Manav. Message delivery failed it said. Anyways he will be fine she thought and closed the phone after leaving a voice message 'Hey Manu Darl, I got a rick, you don't worry and come home safe, cya darl' After reaching home by 4:30 she felt lonely without Manav. She stared at the water droplets gliding through the window pane and was sitting idly when the song 'saason ko saason mein...' started to fill in the room. She tried calling him more times than she can keep count of and she prayed for him to be home soon. She got distracted from the chain of thoughts by the sudden and loud buzz at the doorway. She hopefully went and opened the door and she found only a parcel saying 'To my ρяιη¢єѕѕ". She was in no mood for anonymous gifts or pranks. She thought of leaving the parcel there itself when she heard something from within the parcel, It was Manav's voice saying 'I want to dedicate the song 'saason ko saason mein.. from hum tum to my dearest wife Mansi' she turned and she could listen his voice on the radio as well ' She is home alone waiting for me and this is to assure her I'm fine and will be home soon, love you darl' She felt relief spread through every cell of her body and automatically tears of happiness rolled down her cheeks when a hand from behind hugged her close and the warm embrace dissolved all pains and worries.
